Hi there!! My name is Margo Maxwell and I am from Columbus, Ohio. I recently moved in with my boyfriend of almost 5 years and we have a little meatball of a bulldog named Delilah. Nothing makes me happier than knowing I have them to come home to! I love to travel and each year I aim to check off at LEAST one item from my bucket list. I have binge watched The Office more times than I should be willing to admit; and if there is ever an opportunity to drop a “that’s what she said” – I will not miss a beat. I am incredibly sarcastic and am a firm believer that if there is nothing nice to say, then say something funny instead. All jokes and sarcasm aside, I also enjoy in-depth, meaningful conversations and love getting to know people in my life on a deeper level. I grew up in a small town named Plain City, with my older brother being my guide in life. I lost my brother in 2018 to an accidental drug overdose. Losing him taught me a lot about life and the direction I want to take mine. Though he is not physically with me anymore, I know he is still here cheering me on and for that reason – I refuse to give up.
I began my fitness journey in January of 2018 and have stuck to it ever since. I found my passion in fitness through a New Years Resolution and I could not be more grateful or proud of where this journey has taken me. For me, the gym is therapy. I consider myself an optimistic person, but we all have those moments of doubt, weakness, and negativity. I’ve learned that allowing yourself to feel weak will actually make you stronger if you find the lessons within those weaknesses. The gym has shined a new, positive light on my overall outlook of life. I have gained so much just by choosing to show up. I met my amazing boyfriend in the gym, I found my best friend through this passion, and I have started building my business in this industry. Not only that, I started documenting my fitness journey through Instagram in 2018. One specific post took off and grew my page to 80,000 followers just before getting permanently deactivated in 2020. I might have lost my platform but I did not lose my progress, my passion, or my desire. I restarted my Instagram from scratch and though my current page does not reach a fraction of the people it once did, I wouldn’t change what happened. It taught me how truly passionate I am about health and wellness. It showed me that the number of followers you have doesn’t matter, but the number of connections you make, impacts you have, and the overall community that you build is what matters. I might not know the exact path I want to take in life, but I am certain that I am headed in the right direction and have an amazing support system along my side.
Another huge relationship I have gained since beginning my fitness journey is the partnership I have with Bowmar Nutrition. I was invited to try their products in April of 2020 and immediately loved what they had to offer. The taste, the quality of ingredients, the customer service, and the overall team behind this company– I had no reason not to love Bowmar Nutrition. I felt this way in 2020 and I have only grown to love this brand more and more as I resign my yearly contracts. I am currently stepping into my fourth year with Bowmar Nutrition and I have no doubt in my mind about being affiliated with this brand. I have met some of my dearest friends, traveled to places I wouldn’t have gone otherwise, and I have my face + signature on a tub of pre-workout which I would have never even CONSIDERED being a possibility when I started working out. Safe to say I am happy, proud, and eager to support this company. They have given me so many opportunities and I will continue to do my part in helping them grow. Not because they tell me to, not because of money– but because I genuinely believe these are gold standard products. If you need any suggestions or have any questions – feel free to shoot me a DM!

One thing that will never change for me is my overpowering sweet tooth. Sometimes it’s unfortunate to be 24-years old and have the taste palette of a 12 year old, but I make due with my pickiness. A huge part of that requires getting creative with recipes. One goaI I aim to achieve each day is consuming 30% of my calories through protein. This can be difficult, but thankfully Bowmar Nutrition comes in clutch with protein powders that taste great even when baked. One of my all time favorite recipes I have created is a High Protein Chocolate Chip Banana Bread!
MACROS PER SLICE OF MY BANANA BREAD
206 calories • 31.7g carbs • 6.2g fat • 11.2g protein
MACROS PER SLICE AT A POPULAR COFFEE SHOPS BANANA BREAD
400 calories • 80g carbs • 8g fat • 5g protein
The ingredients
- 3 medium bananas (mashed)
- 1 1/4 Cup Old Fashioned Oats (blend into oat flour)
- 3 scoops Bowmar Nutrition Banana Milkshake Protein (you can also use vanilla protein)
- 1/2 cup no calorie sweetener
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup pumpkin purée (can substitute with 2 eggs)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (I used no sugar added ones)
Mix wet ingredients and in a separate bowl mix dry ingredients— combine thoroughly and pour into bread dish (you can also use a muffin pan and decrease the time)
Preheat oven to 350° and bake for 50-60 minutes
I cut mine into 8 slices and these slices were MASSIVE! This is such a great way to satisfy your craving for a delicious chocolate chip banana bread.
